10th Annual Red Hot Chili Pepper 5k To Benefit Family Promise 

Richmond Hill, GA -Georgia Game Changers Running Company and United Community Advisory Services will host the 10th Annual Red Hot Chili Pepper 5k on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 7:30 a.m.  This year’s race will once again benefit Bryan County’s own Family Promise of Coast Georgia. 
“We are thrilled as a company to continue the great tradition of our annual summer 5k that involves many companies and individuals in Richmond Hill,” says owner Ron Elliott. “This running event that will take place in the Richmond Place neighborhood with the start and finish line at Jalapeno’s Mexican Restaurant has become both a family as well as a community tradition in our special town.”  
Family Promise provides emergency housing for families experiencing homelessness, but it also gives them the skills to help find their permanent homes.  
“The organization offers help with rent and utilities to families who are at risk of homelessness, and they also provide financial literacy classes to help families stay on their feet” said Katrina Bostick, the Executive Director of Family Promise of the Coastal Empire.
“We want to help the community in whatever ways we can.  Many of the families that we work with don't have a support system," Bostick said, "So we become that safety net that they need.  If you give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day, but if you teach him how to fish, he'll eat for a lifetime. We want to be able to create fishermen, so our families can have self-sustaining lives."
According to Elliott, this year’s 10th Annual Red Hot Chili Pepper 5k will be even more special than in past years.  “Not only is Game Changers celebrating ten years of serving in the Richmond Hill community at large, but the company is also excited to share a very special announcement that will impact the community in new and exhilarating ways for the years to come.”
