St. Joseph's / Candler Mobile Mammography Unit is coming to you!

Appointments are required and can be made by calling (912) 819-6140
Women should begin annual screening at age 40.
Women 35-39 years old may obtain a baseline screening mammogram. They should check with their insurance provider prior to the screening for plan eligibility & coverage.
- The patient's most recent mammogram should be 12 months or more prior to the current.
- Patients should be no pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Patients should be independently ambulatory, able to maneuver the coach's steps, sit, stand & hcange to a should gown unaided.
- Patients must have a physician who they have seen in the last 18 months.
- If the patiend does not have insurance, there are programs which cover the costs of screening mammogram. Patient should ask about these programs when they call to schedule.
