Every year, key employers, known as Campaign Pacesetters, begin their United Way Campaigns in late July and August. Bryan County’s PAC Fiber stepped up in a big way and was among the top contributors to this year’s Pacesetters Campaign. In addition, the Bryan County School System is a top contributor to the Campaign, not just in Bryan County, but throughout United Way’s four-county region service area.
The 2022 United Way of the Coastal Empire Campaign Chair Cindy Robinett of Sterling Seacrest Pritchard is inviting everyone to get in the game and become an active member of Team United this year. “We all have a shared responsibility to take care of our community,” says Robinett. “From cheerleading to raising my family to the founding of our company, my life has always been about teamwork. The same is true for United Way. It takes all of us coming together to support the great work of this organization and improve lives across our four-county region. By living here in our region – Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, or Liberty County, you are already part of the team. We need everyone to get in the game by supporting the United Way Community Fund this year.”
The 2022 Campaign Goals:
Help more people
Get more people to help by giving
Raise more for the United Way Community Fund
“Our mission is to improve lives,” says Robinett. “The work of United Way improved the lives of more than 206,000 people last year and still, the needs are great. We are asking everyone to get in the game! Our community needs everyone in our four-county region to give what they can. There is no limit on the amount we need to raise because we know the needs are always greater. The Community Fund allows us to do our work — making strategic investments through grants to nonprofit programs through a volunteer-driven evaluation process, supporting the operation of our 211 information and referral call center, our county service centers, and coordinating volunteer efforts that strengthen our communities.”

About?United Way of the Coastal Empire
The mission of United Way of the Coastal Empire is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. United Way conducts an annual fundraising campaign and invests Community Fund dollars in nonprofit programs and services that provide a safety net for the most vulnerable and pathways for upward mobility to help everyone in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty counties thrive. United Way is a volunteer-driven organization that involves hundreds of community leaders, professionals, and other volunteers in every aspect of our business, including fundraising, marketing, and funding decisions, to ensure that donors’ donations are truly making a difference. Thanks to income from the Herschel V. Jenkins Trust Fund and other revenue, which covers much of the administrative and fundraising costs of the organization, more donor contributions are used in service to the community.
